Special World Family Day care recognise that learning is a lifelong journey, and we encourage and support our educators and staff on that journey of development. 

Special World Family Day care is committed to ensure effective leadership and promotes a positive organisational culture and a professional and collaborative environment. This will support staff and Educators to promote connections within the early childhood sector.

Ongoing Professional Development supports an environment of continuous improvement and quality care and education for children.

Educators and staff are required to update their knowledge regularly to maintain their professional skills in accordance with current early childhood practice.

Special World Family Day care will provide professional development opportunities each year for Educators. This training will target the requirements of the National Quality standards and other programs the Australian and State Governments may introduce. Certificates of attendance or participation will be provided at all training sessions to Educators.

Professional Development is in addition to any training that is required to maintain the currency of an Educators’ registration. This may include First Aid, Anaphylaxis, Asthma qualifications, Child Protection, child Safe standard, Food Safety Handling. our will support Educators to access these training. Educators should provide a copy of their certificate when completed.

Educators will participate in the annual Self-Assessment and Review process, conducted with the special world family day care service. This will include identifying professional development that supports Educators to undertake continuous improvement in the delivery of their program.
